Situation
After four years of detailed design consultancy and development, an intricate working solution was completed for this project. Space Group and Kitchen Vent Technical (KVT) were appointed as the Contractor and Sub-Contractor respectively to carry out works on this historic, listed heritage building.
The KVT Solution
KVT delivered a comprehensive kitchen ventilation package including:
- Independent extract and supply-air systems
- Installation of fans and plant
- Noise attenuation and air tempering facilities
- Electrostatic precipitator units
- Full system wiring
- A dedicated controls package
A double-sided island range canopy was also supplied, incorporating:
- Fire suppression enclosure
- In-canopy UV treatment
- Services distribution unit (SDU)
- Integral pot-rack
All works were carried out in close coordination through a non-contractual partnership between KVT, Space Group, and the main contractor on site, ensuring smooth delivery and collaboration throughout.
