Kitchen Vent Technical Ltd (KVT) is proud to have played a key role in delivering a state-of-the-art kitchen ventilation system for the new central dining facility at Hartpury University and College near Gloucester.
Initially brought on board by Space Group during the consultancy phase, KVT was later engaged as a specialist subcontractor to help meet the project’s critical requirements: low odour, minimal maintenance, and high-spec, integrated fabrication solutions.
Smart, Sustainable Ventilation with Built-In UV Filtration
To meet the needs of this forward-thinking educational institution, KVT deployed their ClearAir Spectrum Range of kitchen ventilation canopies — all featuring integrated UV filtration. These advanced systems use high-intensity UVC light to actively break down grease and odour within the airstream.
The result?
- Reduced residual odours vented to the outside
- Minimised grease buildup in ductwork
- Lower fire risks and maintenance demands
Each canopy includes three stages of safety control and is built with easy access and demountable parts for smooth maintenance.
Tailored Fabrication for Form and Function
KVT also designed and installed a range of bespoke stainless steel fabrications for the project, including:
- Services Distribution Units (SDUs) with integrated pot racks
- Custom column cladding to blend with SDUs and canopy units
- A matching first-floor function kitchen
- Transverse-end extract canopies tailored to space constraints
